London Retro
Having worked with Glasses Direct for a year and a half, its parent company Prescription Eyewear got in touch to ask us the best way to launch a new vintage-inspired eyewear brand called London Retro, which would be available exclusively online at Glassesdirect.co.uk and Designer Glasses Shop.
A cool brand like London Retro needed a suitably trendy launch, therefore IncrediBull recommended that it was social media led. Bloggers now have considerable influence on consumers, as well as the fashion industry as a whole, so it was vital that the new brand engaged with them. IncrediBull created and ran an exclusive Twitter account under the name @London_Retro and held an exclusive blogger launch event at Zigfrid von Underbelly in trendy Hoxton Square. The venue was appropriately themed with a vintage photo booth and retro food with product styled in an antique haberdashery case.
To date, the launch activity resulted in 24 positive blog posts, over 165 social media mentions, 158 twitter followers and over 250 visits to London Retro site from resulting blog coverage. The blogs were posted to over 15,000 Twitter users and the London Retro website has subsequently been ranked the second highest listing on Google, using the search term ‘London Retro’, only two weeks post launch.
Some of the coverage to date includes Mrs Trefusis Takes a Taxi, Pretty Much Penniless & Eye Wear Glasses.
